Pricing: not published. scope and monthly cost are set in writing after the free scan (how pricing works).

Where Scanley is the weaker choice:

  • No published prices: the figure comes after the free scan.
  • Fewer runs per question than sampling-heavy tools: two per engine, where Evertune says up to 100.
  • Fewer engines than Profound or Scrunch Enterprise (up to 9) or Evertune Pro (11).
  • No self-serve trial. The starting point is the free scan.

FI-specialist agencies

Full-service agencies run AEO alongside SEO, paid media and web work, and price by quote. Two examples, not endorsements and not a complete list:

  • BankBound says: "We partner exclusively with banks and credit unions" and has worked with "more than 100 financial institutions". Its SEO work includes AEO and GEO, with copy "approved by both marketing and compliance".source
  • Geear says it has "partnered with over 120 credit unions and banks", works month to month ("No contracts"), and offers a free GEO audit.source

Your own team

Full control, institutional knowledge and the shortest path through your own compliance review, with no vendor due diligence. The cost is a person: Scanley's homepage cites $78,000 to $129,000 in base pay for one digital marketing manager (PayScale, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, Salary.com and Glassdoor, 2026), plus the tools that person still needs.

What to check before buying any of these

  • Who drafts the content, and how it reaches your compliance reviewer before it is published.
  • How AI-facing content (schema, llms.txt, agent pages) is recorded, since it is your advertising too.
  • Third-party due diligence: what data the vendor needs, and what it keeps.
  • Whether the method is published: engines, run counts, dates, and what counts in each number.
  • Whether being recommended is reported separately from being merely mentioned.

Questions buyers ask

Which AEO tools are built specifically for credit unions and banks?

Of the options on this page, Atlas Instinct and Scanley are built for financial institutions, Toren has a banks and credit unions industry page, and PromptRush has a finance page. FI-specialist agencies such as BankBound and Geear also work with banks and credit unions.

How much does AI visibility software cost?

Published entry prices, checked on the date on this page: PromptRush from $19 a month, Otterly from $29, Scrunch Core $250, Toren Local $299 per location, Evertune Pro $800. Profound and Atlas Instinct do not publish a price, and neither does Scanley, which sets the figure after the free scan.

Do we need software, an agency or a managed service?

It depends on who will do the work. Software measures and your team acts on it; an agency does the work and usually prices it per engagement; a managed program like Scanley measures and drafts the fixes while your team approves them. The agency vs software vs in-house page walks through it.

Can these tools tell us what ChatGPT says about our deposit insurance?

Any tool that records full answers can show you what an engine said, if the question is in the set it asks. Ask each vendor whether insurance and eligibility questions are included and whether misstatements are reported separately from being missing.

Does using an AEO vendor change our compliance obligations?

No. Content a vendor drafts is still your institution's advertising once you publish it, and your compliance review applies to it the same way. This is general information, not legal advice.
