Terms of service
Last updated November 3, 2026.
Scanley is provided by 21Rates Inc. These terms cover meetscanley.com, the Scanley console, and the Scanley connection for AI tools at meetscanley.com/mcp. If your organization has signed an agreement with us, that agreement governs where it differs from this page.
What Scanley does
Scanley measures how AI assistants and search engines answer questions about your organization, and recommends specific changes to your website and content. It records which changes your team approves, which are reported live, and what a later check of the live site found. Scanley does not deploy changes to your website, does not hold credentials to your site or code, and executes no payments or financial transactions.
Your account
Access is given per organization by Scanley or by an approver on your team. Keep your sign-in to yourself, and tell us at once if you think someone else has used it. You are responsible for what is done under your sign-in, including by an AI tool you connect.
Connecting an AI tool
When you connect an AI tool such as ChatGPT, Codex, Claude or Cursor, it acts as you, at the permission level you chose, on one organization's fixes. A decision or report it records is recorded in your name. Connect only tools you control, review what they propose before approving it, and disconnect a tool at any time in Scanley under Coding agents. The tool's maker handles your conversation with it under their own terms; see our privacy policy for what Scanley receives.
Measurements and recommendations
AI answers change from day to day and by who is asking. Our measurements describe what we observed when we asked; they are not a promise about what any assistant or search engine will say later. Our recommendations are recommendations: you decide what to publish, and you are responsible for checking that what goes on your site is accurate and meets the rules that apply to your business, including financial advertising and disclosure rules.
Acceptable use
Do not use Scanley to break the law, to reach data that is not yours, to probe or overload our systems, or to resell access without our written agreement. We may suspend access that puts other customers or our systems at risk, and we will tell you why.
Your content and ours
What you give us (your site, your approvals, your notes) stays yours; you let us use it to run Scanley for you. Scanley's software, reports format and research stay ours. You may share your own reports inside your organization and with the people who work on your site.
Fees
The free AI scan is free. Paid service is priced in your order or agreement, which sets what is included and how it renews or ends.
Changes and ending
We may update these terms; the date above changes when we do, and material changes are emailed to the contacts on your account. You can stop using Scanley at any time, and an agreement ends as it says.
No warranty, limited liability
Scanley is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, 21Rates Inc. is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it.
